Just Giving Fund for a veteran in Wakefield.
Thank you everyone that has donated so far, I went ahead and visited the veteran in person on Saturday in Wakefield and got him the vouchers that he needed and also sorted him a taxi to take him and his partner to Asda to do the Christmas shopping. Also got a plan in place to help him with some other major issues affecting his life and PTSD adversley.
Please trust me that we have all made such a difference to this guy and his family this Christmas. I am truly honoured to represent Minds At War with this type of personal attention for our brave veterans that have been let down by the system our government has engineered.
Any excess donated will be saved for the next veteran that needs some financial help, and my experience on Saturday makes me even more determined to continue with this new initiative and extend the Veterans Social Support project and fundraising past this Christmas and throughout 2019. I also want to start collecting toys & presents for veterans families in time for next Christmas or even birthdays of veterans children throughout 2019 so please listen out for that.
For purpose of transparency please see photos of receipts to show you how your money was spent.
My personal thanks to all Minds At War team and supporters – We are making a difference….
Happy Christmas and have a wonderful New Year 2019
